On June 10th, The Salvation Army Advisory Board installed three new members, Matti McCormick, Jon Bartholomew, and Pamela Hickman. Each member brings a unique set of talents, experiences, and connections to the community which will be valuable to The Salvation Army as it strives to serve the central Indiana community in an effective and efficient manner.
Matti McCormick is the president of The McCormick Group, a minority-owned and certified integrated communications business headquartered in Indianapolis. She is annually recognized as one of Indianapolis’ Outstanding African American leaders, in Who’s Who in Black Indianapolis.
Jon Bartholomew is the Public Information Officer for the Department of Metropolitan Development of Indianapolis. Jon may be best known for his work with WIBC and Network Indiana where he was a reporter and news anchor.
Pamela Hickman is a partner at Patora Fine Jewelers where she was previously the CEO and President before semi-retirement. Pamela serves with Kiwanis International and has been a political candidate in the 2007 City Council election and the 2008 House of Representatives election.
“We are thrilled to welcome these new members. They each bring a wealth of experience to the board,” said Diane Nichols of Perkins Nichols Media and Chairperson of The Salvation Army Advisory Board.
The Salvation Army established the local “Advisory Board System” in 1920. It was designed to enlist local professionals, business and civic leaders to provide support to the local unit of The Salvation Army. The Advisory Board is charged with the responsibility of advising and assisting The Salvation Army in all its activities in the Indianapolis community.
