Hang out at IMS for a good cause

Did you know that The Salvation Army earns $7/volunteer hour during events we staff this summer at the speedway? If you’re interested in helping out at the track this year during the Indy 500 or the Brickyard 400, and have never volunteered for The Salvation Army at the IMS, we have two trainings available to get you up to speed. WIBC does “most good” with pit stop win

WIBC may be the champions of the Media Pitstop Challenge, but it’s The Salvation Army who won big this May.    

 Each year the Media Pitstop Challenge is held as part of Community Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  The competition features local media outlets battling it out by changing tires on an indy car.  The winner of this popular event receives $5,000 to be given to the charity of their choice.

This year, for the first time in the history of the competition, WIBC won. Read more
