Welcome, Partners!

Maybe that sounded a little more country than intended. But the sentiment is the same – welcome!
Glad you found our new site for our corporate partners. It has been a goal for some time now to give our partners a place to call home.
Last week we celebrated National Salvation Army week. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to spend some time with those of you who support our programs, as locations throughout the state hosted open houses and special events. Here’s a brief recap of some of the events that we hosted here in Indy.
Several of you joined us for the Operation Compassion Open House last Tuesday and helped us pack about 700 care packages for our troops serving abroad. We were thrilled to have CDR Ken McNeill, the Commanding Officer at the NOSC (Indianapolis Naval Reserve Center) join us. You can check out the details here.
Later that day, the Social Service Center hosted a style show featuring six of our clients. Our partners pitched in to plan a fun afternoon with a powerful message, empowering women as they overcome abuse.
On Thursday, Drew and his crew from Two Men and a Truck hosted Ramp to Camp at the 96th Street Wal-Mart. The folks at 107.9 FM The Track promoted the event and collected on-line donations as well. The goal was to send 100 of Indy’s at-risk metro area kids to summer camp at Hidden Falls Camp. We appreciate the on-going partnership with Two Men, Wal-Mart and The Track. If you missed the event, you can still sponsor a kid’s week at camp for only $72.
And finally, a big thanks to Target for their gift of chocolate bars imprinted with our logo. Our development team spent a few hours on Monument Circle last Friday afternoon passing out candy and making life a little sweeter for passers-by. We appreciate WIBC 93.1FM for mentioning us on the air, as well.
Thanks to all of our partners and volunteers for your continued passion for helping our neighbors in need. Your support – through time and donations – is vital to what we do.
