Homelessness Bites!

About 15,000 people – our neighbors – are homless in Indianapolis each year. Maybe that’s more than you expected, but it’s not WHO you would expect.
What is The Salvation Army doing about it?
Our Social Services programs meet the needs of our homeless neighbors every day of the year. And our Homelessness Bites campaign is your way to partner with us to support these programs.
We need your help to continue “Doing the Most Good” in our city. Check out our upcoming events below…

October 1, 2009
On the first Thursday of October, The Salvation Army hosts a lunchtime event on Monument Circle to benefit the Homelessness Bites campaign. We’re inviting our neighbors to “Eat in the Street” to benefit the programs that serve the hundreds of Indy’s homeless children who live and eat all of their meals on our city’s streetes. Applebee’s serves up lunch (grilled on-site) so our partners can enjoy tasty food and live music for a great cause. Go here to find out how to participate.
