WIBC Radiothon

December 12-14, 2008 on WIBC 93.1 FM

Each December, WIBC 93.1 FM hosts a three-day live fundraising event to benefit The Salvation Army. WIBC personalities donated their on-air programming time to share the stories of the men, women and children whose lives have been changed through the generosity of individual and corporate partners.

A Champion for a Chairman – Meet Quinn Buckner, WIBC Radiothon 2008 Chairman

Quinn Buckner is an IU alum, former Pacer, NBA and NCAA chamption and Olympic medalist. Captain of the 1976 IU NCAA championship and 1976 gold medal US Olympic basketball teams, he is one of only three people in the history of basketball to win a championship on every level – high school, college, Olympics and NBA. Quinn is currently VP of Communications for Pacers Sports & Entertainment and a cable TV Color Analyst. Quinn Buckner is a dynamic addition to our WIBC Radiothon, and we are priviledged to have him as this year’s Chairman.

Radiothon is the best way to support all of The Salvation Army’s services throughout the year.

The men and women of The Salvation Army are providing shelter for the homeless, refuge for women and children fleeing domestic violence, after-school and camp opportunities for at-risk youth, and more, every day of every year. Radiothon plays an integral role in the funding for these programs.

Your corporate partnership will make a difference in the lives of the men, women and children in need right here in Indianapolis! The support of our corporate partners is vital to what we do, and we make the community aware of that support.
